Ski-Doo Testimonials > ...I believe that this ski may revolutionize snowmobile handling...(click here)

I have a pair of split rail ski's on my 2011 TNT 800 etec. I also have a friend with a 2011 Yamaha Nytro and he claims that his sled handles almost as good as a ski doo (he uses those words -I would have bought a ski doo -Oh I did). I was one of the first to order them and received them about 3-4 weeks ago. I believe that this ski may revolutionize snowmobile handling. The skies almost completely eliminate darting and my ride is almost 'effortless'. Around corners the slit ski tracks like no other ski's. I follow lots of other sleds and I can't believe how hard they are working when they ride because with the split ski I can corner far better than them. I don't do a lot of deep powder riding, but I've done some and I've found the ski's good for that as well.

Regarding the price, well perhaps the $799 price tag could be considered high by some, but have you bought any high end parts lately. I know a guy who broke a Yamaha ski spindle and he told me that it cost $500 to replace it. If this is true, then the split ski's are a bargain. The split rail ski's also appear to be very high quality.

I also talked to a mountain sledder and he claimed that the space in the middle of the ski would help bite into the snow when riding up the side of a mountain, but since I have no direct experience I'm not claiming anything.

I will however stand by what I know. I am beyond happy with my split rail ski's. I'm going to buy a pair for my wife's 2007 Blizzard.

When I bought the ski's they gave me a money back guarantee because I was a bit leery on trying them, but there is no way that I would ever send them back. They are keepers.

I also get a lot of interest in them wherever I stop. People like to look at the ski's and chat about them, so it is a good way to be friendly with other sledders.

I'm sure these skis are a great, but bottom line until they become reasonably affordable most people aren't going to purchase a set as the cost is in my book ridiculous. Close to a grand can be spent in other more demanding areas...it is not even close to being a cheap sport to be a part of....yeah, if I had a grand to burn I'd consider buying but I've never had a grand to just burn!

I agree the price seems high. However i do believe in the "value of quality". I have the skis and they work great and I would purchase them again. maybe if we dont compare them to cheap skis that dont work we may find the value that will justify the cost.
