Yamaha Testimonials > Over 3,000 Miles (1-1/2 seasons) - hit a culvert!

With over 3,000 miles on my split rails (2011 Yamaha XTX) I hit a buried culvert yesterday at a trail head. I believe the inside rail, on the left ski, aligned with a groove, and the inside edge, of the outer rail, caught the culverts edge, ripping a 3 inch chunk off the rail. My sled stayed straight on the trail, thank god, and I was able to ride 20 miles back to my trailer without issues. I think a normal ski would have shot the sled hard left, into a large boulder and trees. I think the split rail design may have averted a more serious accident.

I swear by these skis and design, and will not run anything other than the split rails on this sled. Thanks to Rob today for coordinating a quick replacement ski, prior to my next ride. These should be stock skis on the Nytro sleds. Thanks again.
